KING URGES YOUTH TO UTILIZE TRADE FAIR

MANZINI– His Majesty King Mswati III has challenged the youth to make use of the annual Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) as this will ensure they become active economy players. He said this during the official opening of this year’s 50/50 edition of the annual EITF The King pointed out that utilizing the trade fair would be good for the youth as it would enable them to keep away from nonproductive activities. “It is encouraging to know that the number of traders is increasing and that there are quite a number of entertainment products for the youth”, said His Majesty. He further reemphasized a need to host the event regionally to enable Emaswati from all over the country to see locally produced goods. The regional trade fairs preceded the main event this year.
“We also heard that when the trade fair was held in the various regions, exhibitors came in their numbers to showcase their products. This is indeed a decentralization of services, bringing them closer to the communities,” he went on to say. He added that the nation is grateful to having the regional shows and looks forward to more in the future. Furthermore, the king extended his gratitude to the exhibitors from United States of America and from
the Republic of Taiwan whom he said are proof that Eswatini is an investor friendly nation. The king further stated that as the country moves towards the first world status, it is imperative that the country attains the standard so
that we can indeed be seen as a first world country. “We applaud the exhibitors that have supported the initiative and I encourage Emaswati to exhibit our country,” he stated. His Majesty also said that seeing Eswatini culture exhibited is encouraging. On another note, he thanked chiefs and parents for allowing their children to attend the annual Umhlanga Reed Dance.
