Embiveni to feed 5 000 Sibebe Survivors


MATSAPHA-Reminiscent of the Biblical story where Jesus fed 5 000, the Swaziland Meat Industries (Embiveni) will do likewise this year. The SMI will feed 5 000 Sibebe Survivors at this year’s instalment of
the annual event hosted by the Swaziland Rotary Club which takes participants on a 13km walk from Pine Valley to the plateau of the mountain through breathtaking scenery to the edge of the dramatic granite outcrop overlooking the valley. The handover of the donation that coincides with the company’s tenth year partnership with the club was
done by the Marketing Officer Swane Meyburgh and Head of the Quality Department Sandile Dlamini. “We pride ourselves in producing safe, high quality brands and we ensure that hygiene is always kept at a high standard through inspections and other controls,” he said. He further said they have trained and experienced working personnel who ensure that their products are of the best quality product. SMI produces meat products with
first world status in mind, tested and certified by an accredited international recognized auditing bodies
on behalf of BRC and the European Union (EU). SMI’s main markets are in the kingdom and Mozambique with its
flagship Simunye Beef, Simunye Pork and Embiveni Meats brands sought after by the majority of meat
consumers. Outgoing Rotary President Thulani Mkhaliphi expressed appreciation to SMI and acknowledged the relationship between the company and the club which he noted has grownexponentially over the years. He also thanked the nation for its support and encouraged Emaswati to continue registering for the event.
