Swazi MTN committed in supporting ICT

MBABANE-Eswatini MTN remains committed in supporting innovation in the information communication
technology space. MTN Group Vice-President Ebenezer Asante revealed during the company’s 20th anniversary celebration that the company remains committed in providing all kinds of support so that MTN Eswatini continues to
be customer centric and brighten customers lives in the process. Asante also expressed his excitement that MTN Eswatini has managed to register over 30% of its subscribers within the first three months of the registration programme. “It is a feat without precedence and one which reinforces our commitment to being a responsible company,” he said. In the same vein, MTN board chairperson David Dlamini said innovation which was at the heart of telecommunications has been accelerated amongst Emaswati who have acquired and continued to acquire skills essential for contributing towards the national vision of attaining first world status by 2022. “We are grateful for the confidence His Majesty’s government has consistently demonstrated towards MTN. We have had a privilege of working with various ministries such as the ministry of health, ministry of economic Planning and development,
ministry of Home Affairs, ministry of Education and Training and the Prime Minister’s office,” he said. In addition, the board chairman said MTN was grateful to all its stakeholders for the confidence they demonstrated in working and partnering with the company. He stated therefore that he has no doubt that Eswatini MTN would continue to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world to its customers and simultaneously make its customers’ lives a whole lot brighter.
