Takie Ndou…The gospel sensation

His presence in the music industry has been quite impressive and gospel lovers have been lured into his craft. Every song in Takie Ndou’s new album just gels with the soul as honey on the tongue of a hunter after a long unsuccessful expedition. The South African gospel artist has just concluded his Eswatini church tour, which was
also a marvel to watch, getting the approval of the local Christian fraternity. Speaking to Ontime Business Network, Ndou revealed that it was not his first time to come to Eswatini as he started visiting the kingdom
since 2005, describing it as his second home. “You know, when I’m in the kingdom I feel the warmth of being home away from home. This country is very welcome; its people are so true to humanity and I really loved that.’’ Last year Ndou was here in the country for auditions, where five Emaswati were identified and are now part of the Gospel Classical Choir in South Africa. With his third album flying off the shelves, Ndou said he didn’t expect such a great achievement on this album, saying he was amazed by the positive response he was getting from his local
fans. He said he was really enjoying and appreciating the love he was getting from his fans both in South Africa and in the Kingdom. Ndou’s third album titled ‘Hope Arise’ is a true reflection of what it contains; it inspires, gives hope, empowers and encourages the listener not to give up in the life of Christ. “The society is now infested with a lot of evil deeds, ranging from suicides, rapes and poverty and, the church is on the receiving end of everything. It is for that reason that I believe my album came at the right time to address all these things that are affecting the church,” said Ndou. The ‘Babe Ngisite’ hit maker has started 2019 on a high note as he was part of the line-up that performed in the second edition of Sacrifice and Praise at the Grace House FamilyChurch in Randburg on 15 February. He performed alongside fellow Gospel artists Sipho Ngwenya, Janice Price, Ayanda Ntazi, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Lusanda Beja, Obrey, Omega and Nothando Hlophe.
